Dost my ears deciveth? The rumors have been dispelled, as Atari CEO Fred Chesnais has confirmed, that Atari is working on a new upcoming Video game system. This is rather remarkable, as the last Atari game system, produced nearly 23 years ago, was considered Atari's deathblow with the not so successful Atari Jaguar. We do not know much other than a teaser video, along with web page named Atariboxx.com.
Judging by a "Dev" button clue given on the website, it looks as if this indeed will not simply be a "classic flashback" system, but an entirely new console, that will have new development written specifically for it.
Let the speculation begin! Either way, it is nice to see old players back in the game!
