Now Pre-ordering New 6" Die-cast Iron Giant Figure
To this day, The Iron Giant stands to be one of my top all-time animated films. And even though it never broke any records, most, typically agree it was indeed a great classic. When it comes to the fans, however, finding collectibles for this elusive franchise is somewhat infrequent. What was produced, mostly on its release, is either hard to find or highly expensive. The team over at 1000toys has given this franchise an incredible treat! Displayed at this years 2018 New York

Retro Review - 1985 Cobra Ferret
Time to check out yet another retro fav of mine, the Cobra Ferret. This G.I. Joe classic was produced in 1985 and has a hand full of neat gimmicks that made this vehicle such a fun toy to own! Growing up, I didn't have an extensive G.I. Joe collection, as a matter a fact I rarely played with Joes as I was principally a Star Wars kid. But some of the toys from the G.I. Joe line that did find their way into my toy box, was the Cobra Ferret. Its good looks and budget pricing mad

If you grew up with Fox Kids, then certainly you remember the X-Men cartoon series! For some reason this brief yet impressionable animated cartoon typically is overlooked or forgotten. But let's be honest, this Saturday morning hit gave many of us our first taste into the world of Marvel. Well, it's nice to see that the folks over at Kotobukiya have not forgotten this nostalgic series and to prove that, they have announced a complete statue line fittingly titled X-men '92! Pr

A Brand New Sega Genesis Game Gets Released in 2018
Dust off your Sega Genesis as a brand new game has been developed for this iconic game system! Yes, you heard me right, I said a "new" game. Tanglewood is a successfully crowd-funded video game, by game developer Matt Phillips. What makes the homebrew special? Not only has Tanglewood been coded with the very same, old-fashioned hardware, and programming language, as it was done some 20 years ago! But, it has also been produced in a cartridge form complete with a Mega Drive/Ge

Marvel Comics Announces Story Wide Reboots
Beginning May 2018, Marvel Comics is looking to reboot many of its comic book key franchises. This reform dubbed, "Fresh Start" looks to get older readers and or new readers into the comic book scene without feeling lost or overwhelmed. That describes me. Other than the movies, I have been entirely out of the loop for years, but this sounds like a neat opportunity to jump in with familiar characters along with new starting points and storylines. Check out the video announceme

The Ultimate Star Wars Vehicle Unveiled!
Well, the 2018 New York Toy Fair is in full swing, and reports have already begun to pour in! One, in particular, by Hasbro, has got us here at RetroFused very excited! Return of the Jedi was my very first experience seeing a Star Wars film on the big screen. This was the film that had the biggest impact on me as a kid. And out of all the vehicles that promulgated from Return of the Jedi footage, it was Jabba's Sail Barge where my imagination had always sojourned over and ove

Pastime Pixels - Rolling Thunder 2 Arcade
Most who know me, know that I'm a huge fan of the Shinobi video game series. Issue #2 of RetroFused touches on that love when recapping Sega's 1987 Arcade Hit! Of course, it was only a matter of time, that the successful formula that helped propel Shinobi as one of the all-time classics, would be attempted to be duplicated. And yes, several attempts were certainly made, and today I've found one that has gotten pretty close to that quick, addicting gameplay that keeps you comi
